Initial gold resource for ATAC Resources' Osiris defines 1.7 Moz

ATAC Resources Ltd. said June 18 that it completed an initial resource estimate for its Osiris project in northern Canada's Yukon.

The Osiris project forms part of the company's Rackla property, along with the Orion project under option to Barrick Gold Corp.

Osiris hosts inferred resources containing 1.7 million ounces of gold within 12.4 million tonnes of ore grading an average 4.23 g/t of gold.

The estimate uses cutoffs of 1.30 g/t for open pit material and 2.60 g/t for underground material and incorporates data from 78,614 meters of diamond drilling.

ATAC Resources noted that mineralization remains open in multiple directions. The company is undertaking a 10,000-meter drill program, aiming to increase resources.
