DesignOne Japan Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended Nov. 30, 2015, came to ¥11.31 per share, a decline of 44.3% from ¥20.31 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥85.0 million, a gain from ¥40.6 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 26.6% from 23.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 82.3% on an annual basis to ¥319.0 million from ¥175.0 million, and total operating expenses increased 71.3% on an annual basis to ¥185.0 million from ¥108.0 million.
Reported net income rose 90.7% year over year to ¥82.0 million, or ¥10.91 per share, from ¥43.0 million, or ¥21.50 per share.
As of Jan. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.06.
