Six Flags plans branded attractions for Chinese theme parks

Six Flags Entertainment Corp., real estate developer Riverside Investment Group Co. Ltd. and Turner Broadcasting System Asia-Pacific Inc. are teaming up to add the animated character Tuzki into theme park projects underway in China.

Six Flags is already partnered with Riverside Investment to build multiple parks across the country. Under their new tie-up with Turner Asia-Pacific, which owns the rabbit character, they will be able to incorporate Tuzki-themed attractions into their planned Six Flags parks in Zhejiang and Chongqing. They will include a Tuzki-branded ride and retail locations.

In addition, Riverside Investment's partnership with Turner will allow for Cartoon Network characters also owned by the entertainment company to appear inside Six Flags Kids World parks in China, which are being developed next to the Zhejiang and Chongqing sites.

Six Flags Zhejiang is slated to launch in 2019, while Six Flags Chongqing is scheduled to open in 2020.
