NTIA's acting administrator steps down

Diane Rinaldo is stepping down as acting administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, the arm of the U.S. Commerce Department that advises the White House on telecom policy and oversees government spectrum holdings.

"As my time at NTIA comes to an end, I want to thank you for your dedication to our organization and its mission," Rinaldo said in an email to NTIA staff. "My main goal in this position was to be a champion and bullhorn for all of the good work you do, and I will always be an NTIA supporter."

Rinaldo's departure comes about seven months after David Redl resigned as administrator of NTIA.
