Waterland-backed Median buys German clinic operator Kliniken Wied

Median Unternehmensgruppe BV & Co. KG purchased German clinic operator Kliniken Wied GmbH & Co. KG for an undisclosed amount, AltAssets reported.

Kliniken Wied provides residential rehabilitation for individuals with alcohol, medication and drug dependency, as well as for those with eating disorders and gambling addiction. It operates two clinics in Wied and Steimel.

Median, a portfolio company of Netherlands-based Waterland Private Equity Investments BV, has 120 facilities serving more than 230,000 patients annually following the acquisition.
