Donald Solman was nominated to the board of GMP Capital Inc.

Solman will replace H. Sanford Riley, who is not standing for re-election. Solman serves as vice president and CFO of James Richardson & Sons Ltd., and Riley is president and CEO of Richardson Financial Group Ltd. The companies and their respective subsidiaries are part of an investor group of GMP Capital.

GMP Capital's board recommends that shareholders vote for Solman's election at the annual meeting scheduled for April 27.
