House Do fiscal Q1 profit climbs 97.2% YOY

House Do Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to ¥20.40 per share, an increase of 59.9% from ¥12.76 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥173.1 million, a gain of 97.2% from ¥87.8 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 4.3% from 2.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 16.1% year over year to ¥4.01 billion from ¥3.46 billion, and total operating expenses increased 12.3% year over year to ¥3.71 billion from ¥3.30 billion.

Reported net income increased 82.2% on an annual basis to ¥186.7 million, or ¥22.00 per share, from ¥102.5 million, or ¥14.89 per share.
