Sana Industries Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended March 31 came to 2.88 Pakistani rupees per share, a gain of 32.3% from 2.18 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 24.8 million rupees, a gain of 32.3% from 18.7 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 6.0% from 5.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 23.4% year over year to 414.0 million rupees from 335.5 million rupees, and total operating expenses climbed 21.7% year over year to 361.9 million rupees from 297.3 million rupees.
Reported net income decreased 7.3% from the prior-year period to 22.9 million rupees, or 2.67 rupees per share, from 24.8 million rupees, or 2.88 rupees per share.
As of May 29, US$1 was equivalent to 101.95 Pakistani rupees.
