Fosun International CEO steps down

Fosun International Ltd. announced several management changes, including the resignation of CEO Liang Xinjun.

Liang, who is also the company's vice chairman and an executive director, resigned for health reasons, the company said in a March 28 filing.

Liang was replaced by Wang Qunbin, an executive director of the company, as CEO.

Meanwhile, Ding Guoqi resigned as an executive director and senior vice president of the company. Ding resigned to devote more time to family commitments, the company said.

Chen Qiyu and Xu Xiaoliang, executive directors of the company, were both appointed as co-presidents.

Wang Can, Kang Lan and Gong Ping were appointed as executive directors and senior vice presidents.

Lee Kai-Fu was appointed as an independent nonexecutive director.

The changes took effect from March 28.
