Freddie Mac priced its offering of credit risk transfer securities backed by tax-exempt loans, which are worth about $266 million.
The tax-exempt loans are made by state or local housing agencies and are secured by affordable rental housing. The credit risk transfer securities are divided into California only and non-California classes to allow investors to benefit from California's state tax exemption if they invest in the California only classes.
Wells Fargo Securities LLC and Jefferies LLC are lead managers and book runners of the offering. Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Samuel A. Ramirez & Co. Inc. and Stifel Nicolaus & Co. Inc. are the co-managers.
