Tachi-S Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥51.06 per share, a gain of 9.2% from ¥46.74 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.81 billion, an increase of 7.1% from ¥1.69 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.4% from 2.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to ¥76.20 billion from ¥72.73 billion, and total operating expenses climbed from the prior-year period to ¥73.37 billion from ¥70.06 billion.
Reported net income grew from the prior-year period to ¥1.94 billion, or ¥54.60 per share, from ¥1.90 billion, or ¥52.56 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥75.75 per share, a gain of 40.1% from ¥54.06 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥2.68 billion, a rise of 36.6% from ¥1.97 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew 13.0% from the prior-year period to ¥283.66 billion from ¥250.94 billion, and total operating expenses grew 11.0% on an annual basis to ¥276.78 billion from ¥249.27 billion.
The company said reported net income grew 91.0% on an annual basis to ¥1.69 billion, or ¥47.55 per share, in the full year, from ¥882.0 million, or ¥24.26 per share.
As of June 23, US$1 was equivalent to ¥105.69.
