Property & casualty claims software company Mitchell International Inc. has acquired UniMed Direct to boost its workers' compensation and medical management offerings.

UniMed Direct provides enterprise managed care software and physician peer review services to the workers' compensation industry. The company's ReviewStat, a managed care software, will be added to the portfolio of Mitchell's end-to-end solutions.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Bailey Southwell & Co. acted as the exclusive strategic and financial adviser to UniMed Direct.

Mitchell in April disclosed the acquisition of PMOA Inc., a provider of pharmacy benefit management and ancillary services product designed for insurers and third-party administrators, state funds and self-insured entities.
