Khind Holdings Q3 profit falls YOY

Khind Holdings Berhad said its normalized net income for the third quarter amounted to 4 Malaysian sen per share, a decline of 21.9% from 5 sen per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 1.7 million ringgits, a decrease of 21.9% from 2.2 million ringgits in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 2.0% from 2.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 4.9% year over year to 86.2 million ringgits from 82.2 million ringgits, and total operating expenses grew 5.8% on an annual basis to 82.6 million ringgits from 78.0 million ringgits.

Reported net income fell 29.8% from the prior-year period to 2.1 million ringgits, or 5 sen per share, from 2.9 million ringgits, or 7 sen per share.

As of Nov. 25, US$1 was equivalent to 4.21 ringgits.
