AlphabetInc.'s board recommended that its stockholders vote against sixshareholder proposals at the company's annual meeting scheduled for June 8.
One of the proposals calls for the company to submit a reportto assess Alphabet's strategy and performance through the percentage pay gapbetween male and female employees.
The other proposals are about equal shareholder votingrights, an annual lobbying report, a semiannual political contributions report,adoption of a majority vote standard for the election of directors, and apolicy to appoint an independent chairman of the board, according to an April29 SEC filing.
