Harris Corp. closes purchase of Exelis

Harris Corp. on May 29 closed its deal to acquire Exelis Inc. for a transaction value of $4.73 billion.

The company offered $24.75 per share for the stake.

In addition to general closing conditions, the deal required additional review for antitrust concerns.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC was the financial adviser for Harris Corp., and Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP were the legal advisers.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC was the financial adviser for Exelis, while Jones Day was the legal adviser.
