Report: WeWork's co-head of real estate investment fund resigns

Wendy Silverstein resigned as co-head of WeWork Cos. Inc.'s real estate investment fund, The Real Deal reported.

Silverstein was hired to lead WeWork's fund called ARK. The publication learned from a person with knowledge of the matter that Larry Fuchs, the managing director of alternative investments at JP Morgan Asset Management, is joining ARK.

Silverstein's departure was unrelated to the chaos surrounding the planned IPO of the coworking giant's parent, the publication said, citing the former WeWork executive.

Silverstein's resignation follows the departures of Sarah Pontius, WeWork's global head of real estate partnerships, and certain other executives.

WeWork declined to comment, according to the publication.
