INTERSHOP Communications Q1 loss widens YOY

INTERSHOP Communications AG said its first-quarter normalized net income came to a loss of €917,500, compared with a loss of €263,750 in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin fell to negative 12.6% from negative 2.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 27.0% year over year to €7.3 million from €10.0 million, and total operating expenses fell 16.6% year over year to €8.7 million from €10.4 million.

Reported net income totaled a loss of €1.5 million, or a loss of 5 cents per share, compared to a loss of €474,000, or a loss of 1 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.
