Jeff Wachtel, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Group's chief content officer, is leaving his post to serve as president of NBCUniversal International Studios, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Wachtel, who is also president of Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios, will start in January and move from Los Angeles to London in the summer of 2018.
He will oversee all aspects of television development, production, formats and strategic content partnerships for NBCUniversal International Studios.
Wachtel will report to Kevin MacLellan, chairman of global distribution and international at NBCUniversal Media LLC.
Wachtel is replacing Michael Edelstein, who will leave by year-end after a seven-year run.
NBCUniversal Media LLC is a unit of Comcast Corp.
