Asmo Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥8.55 per share, a gain of 22.9% from ¥6.95 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥119.9 million, a gain of 22.9% from ¥97.5 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.7% from 2.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 6.9% year over year to ¥4.45 billion from ¥4.16 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 6.5% from the prior-year period to ¥4.27 billion from ¥4.01 billion.
Reported net income increased from the prior-year period to ¥111.0 million, or ¥7.92 per share, from ¥55.0 million, or ¥3.92 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥36.33 per share, a fall of 8.2% from ¥39.59 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥509.4 million, a decrease of 8.2% from ¥555.1 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased 7.3% from the prior-year period to ¥18.15 billion from ¥16.92 billion, and total operating expenses grew 8.1% on an annual basis to ¥17.34 billion from ¥16.04 billion.
The company said reported net income rose 28.2% on an annual basis to ¥613.0 million, or ¥43.72 per share, in the full year, from ¥478.0 million, or ¥34.09 per share.
