Outerwear company Canada Goose Holdings Inc. said May 31 that it is expanding its business in China by opening a regional head office in Shanghai, opening new stores and naming a new president for Greater China.
Canada Goose said it has appointed Scott Cameron to be president for Greater China. Cameron previously was the company's executive vice president for e-commerce, stores and strategy.
The apparel retailer will open two retail stores in Beijing and Hong Kong in the fall of 2018 through a partnership with ImagineX Group. Also in the fall, it will launch e-commerce operations through Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.'s online store, Tmall.
The company said it already has a presence in the Chinese market through wholesale partners, and it is seeing positive demand for its products in China. It also said it ran a cross-border e-commerce pilot project in China.
