Oncor Electric CEO to step down upon Sempra deal completion

Robert Shapard on Dec. 20 announced his plan to retire as CEO of Oncor Electric Delivery Co. LLC, but he intends to remain on the company's board and assume the chairman role following the completion of the Texas transmission and distribution utility's acquisition by Sempra Energy.

E. Allen Nye Jr. will succeed Shapard as CEO. Further, the Oncor board elected Don Clevenger as senior vice president and CFO , replacing David Davis who was named executive vice president, according to a Form 8-K filing. These changes are also effective upon the closing of the Sempra transaction.

Nye has served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Oncor since January 2011. Clevenger has served as as senior vice president of strategic planning since January 2013.
