A.S. Création Tapeten AG said its normalized net income for the second quarter came to 50 euro cents per share, a gain of 76.3% from 28 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €1.4 million, an increase of 75.4% from €781,880 in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 3.7% from 1.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 7.8% on an annual basis to €37.1 million from €40.2 million, and total operating expenses fell 8.4% from the prior-year period to €36.2 million from €39.5 million.

Reported net income decreased 44.1% year over year to €1.7 million, or 63 cents per share, from €3.1 million, or €1.12 per share.
