U.S. apparel retailer Gap Inc. said Feb. 20 that Gap brand President and CEO Jeff Kirwan will leave the company and that Brent Hyder will temporarily oversee the brand while the retailer searches for a new president.
Gap Inc. CEO Art Peck noted that he and Kirwan mutually agreed to the change in leadership and that while Peck was "pleased" with the brand, it has "not achieved the operational excellence and accelerated profit growth that we know is possible."
Hyder is Gap's executive vice president of global talent and sustainability. He was previously COO of the Gap brand.
