Greenpower Energy looks to sell unit after halting Guyana operations

Greenpower Energy Ltd. ceased operations in Guyana and is seeking buyers for its 51% stake in Guyana Strategic Metals Inc.

The unit owns the Morabisi rare earths-lithium project in the country, Greenpower said Sept. 27.

In August 2018, Greenpower decided not to proceed with the third phase of its earn-in on Morabisi, saying at the time that the analysis was premature as drilling had identified lithium at one location and that it may not be economically viable.
