Mr Hamburger Q1 loss narrows YOY

Mr Hamburger SA said its normalized net income for the first quarter came to a loss of 83,180 zlotys, compared with a loss of 191,660 zlotys in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin increased to negative 4.0% from negative 9.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to 2.1 million zlotys from 2.0 million zlotys, and total operating expenses fell 5.0% year over year to 2.2 million zlotys from 2.3 million zlotys.

Reported net income totaled a loss of 132,130 zlotys, or a loss of 1 groszy per share, compared to a loss of 307,760 zlotys in the prior-year period.

As of May 16, US$1 was equivalent to 3.85 zlotys.
