Dai Chau Q1 profit climbs YOY

Dai Chau Group JSC said its normalized net income for the first quarter was 113.04 dong per share, a gain from 22.51 dong per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 4.38 billion dong, an increase from 782.6 million dong in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 6.6% from 3.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to 168.50 billion dong from 21.92 billion dong, and total operating expenses grew year over year to 160.74 billion dong from 20.59 billion dong.

Reported net income grew on an annual basis to 3.08 billion dong, or 79.39 dong per share, from 1.25 billion dong, or 36.00 dong per share.

As of May 18, US$1 was equivalent to 21,792.50 dong.
