Bridgewater Bancshares, CoStar Group add board members

Bloomington, Minn.-based Bridgewater Bancshares Inc. added Lisa Brezonik to its board. Brezonik is president of Salo LLC.


Columbus, Ga.-based Synovus Bank named Allen Barker CEO of its North Georgia division. Barker succeeds Rob Garcia, who resigned to pursue other opportunities.

Barker was previously market president for Atlanta.

Synovus Financial Corp. is the parent company of Synovus Bank.


Pigeon Forge, Tenn.-based SmartBank appointed Kavin McTear as vice president, relationship manager, for its Destin, Fla.-based team. McTear has over 16 years of experience within the financial services industry.

SmartFinancial Inc. is the parent company of SmartBank.


Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas added Cindy Taylor to its board for a three-year term, ending Dec. 31, 2022. Taylor is president, CEO and a director of Oil States International Inc.

Financial services

Crescent Capital BDC Inc. appointed Kathleen Briscoe as an independent Class I director. Briscoe was also added as a member of the audit committee, and the nominating and corporate governance committee.

She will serve for an initial term that expires at the 2022 annual shareholders meeting.

Briscoe is a partner and chief capital officer at Dermody Properties LLC.


Arbor Realty Trust Inc. hired David Burt as vice president, originations. Burt will be based out of the Redondo Beach, Calif., office.


Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Chief Information Officer and Chief Privacy Officer Howard Whyte has resigned from his positions to pursue an opportunity in the private sector. Whyte's last day with the FDIC will be Jan. 3, 2020.


CoStar Group Inc. added Louise Sams and Robert Musslewhite to its board.

Sams is a former executive vice president and general counsel of Turner Broadcasting System Inc., and Musslewhite is CEO of OptumInsight.
