Portland General Electric seeks bids for 100 MW of renewable resources

Portland General Electric Co. on May 22 issued a request for proposals for an additional 100 average MW of new renewable resources, according to a news release.

Proposals must have a minimum capacity of 10 MW and can represent multiple technologies, including geothermal, biomass, biogas, solar, wind and hydroelectric power. The resources must have an in-service date of no later than 2021.

Bids may be structured in different forms, including power purchase agreements, or proposals for facilities that Portland General Electric would own and operate. The company may select a single resource or a mix of resources to achieve the target renewable capacity.

Interested parties must submit their bids by June 15. The RFP and supporting documents are available at the company's website at www.portlandgeneralrfp2018.com.

Independent evaluator Bates White has been retained to monitor the procurement process.
