Mac-House fiscal Q3 profit climbs 65.5% YOY

Mac-House Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30, 2014, amounted to ¥9.37 per share, an increase of 65.5% from ¥5.66 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥143.8 million, an increase of 65.5% from ¥86.9 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 1.6% from 1.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased year over year to ¥9.08 billion from ¥8.88 billion, and total operating expenses climbed on an annual basis to ¥8.88 billion from ¥8.75 billion.

Reported net income rose year over year to ¥66.0 million, or ¥4.30 per share, from ¥32.0 million, or ¥2.09 per share.

As of Jan. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.49.
