Freesia Macross Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was 8 Japanese sen per share, an increase from 3 sen per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥36.1 million, a gain from ¥13.9 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 0.9% from 0.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 29.4% on an annual basis to ¥3.82 billion from ¥2.95 billion, and total operating expenses rose 24.2% on an annual basis to ¥3.32 billion from ¥2.67 billion.
Reported net income increased 52.2% on an annual basis to ¥70.0 million, or 16 sen per share, from ¥46.0 million, or 10 sen per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
