DISH to integrate Google Assistant to Hopper lineup

DISH Network Corp. will integrate Google LLC's Google Assistant service into its Hopper family of set-top receivers.

The move will allow DISH customers to pair voice-controlled Hopper remotes with Google-powered smart home devices in addition to their TVs, according to a Jan. 8 news release. New DISH customers will receive the voice remote with all Hopper family receivers at no additional cost; current customers without a voice remote can upgrade for $20, the company said.
