Gamehost Q2 profit falls YOY

Gamehost Inc. said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to 16 Canadian cents per share, a decline of 14.6% from 19 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was C$4.0 million, a decrease of 16.4% from C$4.7 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 20.5% from 22.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 8.1% year over year to C$19.3 million from C$21.0 million, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to C$12.0 million from C$12.3 million.

Reported net income declined 38.1% year over year to C$3.9 million, or 16 cents per share, from C$6.3 million, or 25 cents per share.
