S&P: Sumitomo Mitsui Banking issues residential mortgage-backed securities

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. issued ¥44.1 billion of fixed-rate residential mortgage-backed securities in three tranches, S&P Global Ratings said.

The issuance consists of ¥14.6 billion of class A1 notes, ¥12.5 billion of class A2 notes and ¥17 billion of class alpha notes.

The securities are due December 2054.

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking is a unit of Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc.

As of March 26, US$1 was equivalent to ¥104.95.
