First National Bank of Crystal Falls merges into First National Bank of Norway

In Michigan, Norway-based First National Bank of Norway completed the acquisition of Crystal Falls-based First National Bank of Crystal Falls, First National Bank of Norway President and CEO Timothy Mattson confirmed April 3.

According to Mattson, the combined bank changed its name to Northern Interstate Bank NA, effective April 1.

Under the deal, announced in November 2015, First National Bank of Norway parent Northern Interstate Financial Inc. agreed to merge with First National Bank of Crystal Falls parent C.F.C. Bancorp Inc., with Northern Interstate Financial emerging as the surviving entity.
