JLT Re appointed Vijay Mavani a partner of capital solutions.

Mavani is expected to join the company in early 2019 after completing his contractual obligations with his current employer, Aon Benfield Inc., where he serves as corporate solutions director.

Separately, JLT Specialty USA appointed Bruce Fine global aerospace manufacturers and infrastructure industry leader, based in Atlanta.

Fine will be a member of the global specialty — aerospace leadership team and the U.S. specialty leadership team. Previously, he was a managing director at Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc.

JLT Re and JLT Specialty USA are part of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group PLC.


The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. named Jared Kotler head of credit and political risk, reported.

Kotler led Validus Holdings Ltd.'s political risk and credit team in the Americas, according to the news outlet.

Property and casualty

QBE Insurance Group Ltd. appointed Frank Costigan executive general manager of consumer and retail partnerships in its Australia and New Zealand division, The Australian Financial Review reported. He is the CEO of Australian insurer Youi Pty Ltd.

Also in the division, Eleanor Debelle was made chief human resources officer and Chris Killourhy became the CFO. Both had been serving in those roles in an interim capacity. Renée Roberts was appointed the division's COO and Fiona Hayes-St Clair joined as chief strategy officer.


XL Catlin added Kimberly Hans to its broker and client management team in the U.S. as Southeast regional leader.

Hans will be responsible for leading XL Catlin's strategies and activities in the Southeast region and coordinating with brokers and clients throughout the area.

Previously, she served as vice president and senior broker relationship leader at Zurich North America.

XL Catlin is the global brand used by XL Group Ltd.'s insurance and reinsurance companies.


Everest Re Group Ltd. division Everest Insurance appointed Don Mango as global head of actuarial pricing and modeling for insurance. He is based in New Jersey.


Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC appointed Shaun Sinniah head of strategy and client engagement for the company's international and global specialties divisions, effective in October.

Sinniah will be based in London.

Previously, he was managing director of sales and client management at Willis Re.


Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd. appointed Parri Spector director of M&A and reinsurance transactions in New York, The Royal Gazette reported.

Most recently, Spector served as managing director, investment banking and head of insurance M&A at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Inc.


Lockton named Tate McCoy CEO of its Mountain West operations, succeeding Chuck McDaniel.

McDaniel will continue in his business development and client advisory role as an executive vice president.
