KEFI Minerals cleared of all Tulu Kapi claims in Ethiopia

The Federal Supreme Court of Ethiopia dismissed all claims against KEFI Minerals Plc regarding an inherited claim for damages, according to a Nov. 28 company release.

A previous judgment reduced the company's liability from US$12 million to US$600,000, which it inherited when it acquired the Tulu Kapi gold project.

KEFI appealed to the court regarding the remaining US$600,000 and is no longer liable for any damages, it said.

The company added that it will defend its position if another appeal is raised.
