Khator Fibre & Fabrics fiscal Q2 profit falls YOY

Khator Fibre & Fabrics Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was 2.5 million rupees, a fall of 9.4% from 2.7 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin declined to 1.9% from 3.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 38.4% year over year to 126.7 million rupees from 91.6 million rupees, and total operating expenses rose 42.1% year over year to 119.2 million rupees from 83.9 million rupees.

Reported net income totaled 3.9 million rupees, compared with 4.3 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

As of Dec. 15, US$1 was equivalent to 63.46 Indian rupees.
