Straight Path leads communications short interest decliners

Straight Path Communications Inc. had the biggest drop in short interest relative to shares outstanding among Kagan-covered communications companies between April 28 and May 15.

The percentage of the company's shares held short relative to shares outstanding fell 271 basis points to 15.45% as of May 15.

ViaSat Inc. saw the biggest increase in short interest relative to shares outstanding among Kagan-covered communications companies between April 28 and May 15. The company saw short interest rise 124 basis points to 11.83% of shares outstanding at the end of the period.

Iridium Communications Inc. topped the list of most shorted communications companies in the first half of May. The company saw short interest rise 47 basis points to 26.57% of shares outstanding.
