Trek Metals to take control of Kroussou project in April

Trek Metals Ltd. executed a share sale agreement to acquire 100% of the Kroussou zinc-lead joint venture project in Gabon from Battery Minerals Ltd.

The company said March 28 that it plans to kick off a maiden exploration drilling program on the project during the second quarter.

Trek Metals signed a binding term sheet for the deal in January and expects the sale to complete in early April.

Battery Metals, the original owner of Kroussou, will retain a 2.5% net smelter return royalty and will be able to reacquire the project at fair value should Trek abandon it.
