Endomines CEO fined over Talvivaara's disclosure practices in 2012, 2013

The District Court of Helsinki in Finland imposed a fine against Endomines AB CEO Saila Miettinen-Lähde in a case related to Talvivaara Mining Co. Plc's disclosure practices in 2012 and 2013.

Miettinen-Lähde formerly served Talvivaara as CFO and board member. She has been prosecuted under Finnish law in two cases involving securities market information offense.

In its ruling, the court dismissed one case but imposed a fine on her for the other.

Miettinen-Lähde termed the ruling erroneous and plans to appeal the case to the court of appeals.

"The board of Endomines has been duly informed of the case and has continuously full confidence in Saila Miettinen-Lähde and her ability to continue acting as the CEO of Endomines," the company said June 2.
