Pasupati Acrylon Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to 76 Indian paise per share, an increase from 28 paise per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 67.6 million rupees, a gain from 24.3 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 4.9% from 1.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue totaled 1.38 billion rupees, compared with 1.37 billion rupees in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses decreased on an annual basis to 1.27 billion rupees from 1.31 billion rupees.
Reported net income rose 88.2% year over year to 73.2 million rupees, or 82 paise per share, from 38.9 million rupees, or 44 paise per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to 61.73 Indian rupees.
