Isbank posts increase in FY'17 profit as net interest income rises YOY

Türkiye Is Bankasi AS reported full-year 2017 consolidated net profit attributable to the group of 5.53 billion Turkish lira, up from 5.01 billion lira a year ago.

Net interest income rose year over year to 14.83 billion lira from 12.42 billion lira; net fee and commission income increased to 2.73 billion lira from 2.15 billion lira.

The lender's net trading loss amounted to 946.3 million lira for 2017, compared to the year-ago loss of 417.0 million lira.

Provisions for losses on loans and other receivables reached 3.02 billion lira, up from 2.84 billion lira a year earlier.

As of Feb. 2, US$1 was equivalent to 3.76 Turkish lira.
