Report: Brookfield considering sale of stake in Wind Energy Transmission Texas

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. is exploring the sale of its more than 50% interest in Wind Energy Transmission Texas LLC, Bloomberg News reported Oct. 3, citing people familiar with the matter.

The asset manager is reportedly in talks with financial advisers to look for buyers. The stake could fetch $400 million to $500 million in any potential deal, according to the report.

Wind Energy Transmission Texas builds and operates high-voltage transmission lines to provide renewable energy in the state.

Brookfield co-owns the transmission line operator with Public Sector Pension Investment Board.
