He most recently served as senior vice president and senior relationship manager of commercial banking at Bank of America Corp.
* Costa Mesa, Calif.-based Pacific Mercantile Bank named Ross Macdonald senior vice president and regional manager of its Newport Beach, Calif., office.
The Pacific Mercantile Bancorp subsidiary also appointed Marcelo Mills senior vice president and regional manager of its Irvine Spectrum office, a position previously held by Macdonald.
Mills previously served as a vice president and senior relationship manager at California-based Community Bank.
* Bank of Southern California NA appointed Gaylin Anderson executive vice president and market executive in Southern California.
Before joining the San Diego-based company, Anderson worked as executive vice president and managing director of community banking at Banc of California NA, a unit of Banc of California Inc.
* Commerce Bank appointed Sebastien Solar market president for Houston, the Houston Business Journal reported.
Solar was a senior vice president at BOK Financial Corp.'s Bank of Texas.
The report also noted that Bobby Morgan, senior vice president at Commerce in Houston since April, was an executive director at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Kansas City, Mo.-based Commerce Bank is a unit of CBI-Kansas Inc. Its ultimate parent is Commerce Bancshares Inc.
* Glens Falls, N.Y.-based Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co. appointed Gregory Champion to its board.
Champion is the managing member of the Albany office of the Bond Schoeneck and King law firm.
The bank is a unit of Arrow Financial Corp.
