AstraZeneca prices $2B bond offering

AstraZeneca PLC priced a $2 billion bond offering to raise funds for general corporate purposes, including the refinancing of existing debt.

The company will issue the debt in three tranches: $1 billion worth of five-year notes with a 2.375% coupon; $750 million worth of 10-year notes with a 3.125% coupon; and $250 million worth of five-year floating rate notes.

Barclays, BofA Merrill Lynch, HSBC and Morgan Stanley are the joint book-running managers for the offering which is expected to close on June 12.
