AUDI AG H1 profit climbs 27.9% YOY

Audi AG said its normalized net income for the first half came to €39.53 per share, an increase of 27.9% from €30.90 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €1.70 billion, a gain of 27.9% from €1.33 billion in the prior-year period.

Total revenue came to €30.14 billion, compared with €30.13 billion in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses came to €27.46 billion, compared with €27.72 billion in the prior-year period.

Reported net income grew 25.4% from the prior-year period to €2.05 billion, or €47.60 per share, from €1.63 billion, or €37.98 per share.
