Solstice Gold Corp. secured permits to commence a diamond drilling program of up to 20,000 meters at its Kahuna gold project in Nunavut, Canada.
The permits also allow the company to undertake geophysics, rock and soil sampling throughout the 920-square-kilometers project.
The Dunnedin Ventures Inc. spinoff said March 13 that the permits have validity periods ranging from two to five years and are either extendable or renewable.
Solstice Gold noted that it will evaluate the target areas by using lower-cost high-quality techniques and avoiding prospecting with a drill, which is more expensive.
With that, the company will proceed with a program of mapping and sampling the 45-square-kilometers target areas before launching a follow-up drill program on multiple targets.
