Envision Solar International Q1 loss widens 60.3% YOY

Envision Solar International Inc. said its first-quarter normalized net income amounted to a loss of $460,000, compared with a loss of $287,020 in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin rose to negative 133.0% from negative 285.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased year over year to $345,920 from $100,650, and total operating expenses grew 43.5% from the prior-year period to $875,310 from $610,020.

Reported net income came to a loss of $737,290, or a loss of 1 cents per share, compared to a loss of $459,230, or a loss of 0 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
