Banco BNP Paribas Brasil SA CEO Sandrine Ferdane, will step down from her role to become global head of the financial institutions coverage area for French parent company BNP Paribas SA, according to a news release.
Ferdane, who also serves as Brazil country head for BNP Paribas, will take on her new role April 1. She will replace José Placido, who will become BNP Paribas' CEO of corporate and investment banking for the Americas in June.
Meanwhile, Bob Hawley, the current corporate and investment banking chief for the Americas, will become the division's vice chairman.
