Syrah enters supply deal for 20,000 tonnes of graphite from Balama

Syrah Resources Ltd. entered into a binding deal to supply 20,000 tonnes of natural graphite from the Balama project in Mozambique to Zhanjiang Juxin New Energy Materials Co. Ltd. in 2018.

Zhanjiang Juxin is one of the leading high-quality spherical graphite and anode material producers in China.

All other terms of the transaction remain confidential, the company said Dec. 4.

The company recently achieved first production of bagged salable flake graphite at Balama, and expects the project to produce 160,000 to 180,000 tonnes next year.
